Stunning sights of seals in the UNESCO Biosphere, Bull Island in Dublin Bay.


These photographs were taken when walkers and their dogs were not present (during a televised football match!) and when the seals of Bull Island were not being harassed by dogs. Disturbance to seals should be reported directly to the Gardaí for referral to the Bull Island Manager or National Parks and Wildlife Service.

Its high time Bull Island was properly resourced and staffed accordingly. The terns and hares are already gone and the seals are regularly harassed by people and dogs. Seals are amongst the world’s first protected species. Enjoy the photo gallery below:
